Home to big hats, big hair, big tacos, big rats (more about that later) and big bags under my eyes after spending 28 hours in transit to get here. It's early days but so far I've managed to eat more tacos than my pants can fit, walk into a pole while trying to read a map, and spotted a women walking a capybara on a lead. And I didn't have my camera with me. Once the jet lag wears off I'm sure my luck will change.

Today's item

This guy is not nearly as fatigued as me. I'll be updating my trip each day right here

Tastes like Sydney

Forecast

Saturday: Shower or two, 23
Sunday: Ditto.

Message for today

Eat, drink and be merry this weekend at the Taste of Sydney festival. I went last night and ate my own body weight in food. I'm feeling pregnant today and it might be because I made love to a chocolate fondant last night. Check out the size of this guy's paella. The baby might actually be his?

Today's item

Taste of Sydney today til Sunday at Centennial Park tastefestivals.com.au

Biscuit Ears

Forecast

Friday: Shower or two, 23

Message for today

Not many people know that I used to have sticky outy biscuit ears when I was a mini-Michi. Mum taped my biscuits back in a practical manoeuver that, she assured me, would keep me safe from surgery. For the next little while anyway. Looks like someone else had the same issue and waned to share it with the world. Wear your biscuits with pride I say.

Today's item

Milk biscuit head phones from Q-Pot $175 from Via Alley Shop RG26A, The Galeries Victoria 500 George Street, Sydney 9264 7528

On Ya Sonya

Forecast

Thursday: Shower or two, 23

Message for today

You would never believe it but Sonia Rykiel used to be a Cage Fighter. She originally got the inspiration for her range of towels from the wipe down after a big punch - hideous blood smears and all. It turns out dry blood is actually quite autumnal. And it sorted my sore neck out and saved me a fortune in chiro fees. Plus now I can wear all these necklaces at once without making my neck look stubby. You can wear them safely here in Sydney but be wary in scandiwegia. You might get a bike thrown at you.
